The Russian consortium Uralvagonzavod posted a videowhich presents the IMR-3M delivery of another shipment of technical support armored vehicles to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The shipment was sent the day before the country’s Technical Team Day.
According to the consortium, IMR-3M is intensively used by in Ukraine in an ongoing conflict. Based on operational experience and feedback from soldiers, the vehicle has undergone recent upgrades: it has received electronic warfare systems and additional protection against drones, in line with the measures introduced on tanks.

The IMR-3M is a third-generation technical vehicle, which is the main battle tank T-90 platform, with enhanced protection against radiation. The vehicle is designed to directly support the advance of military columns, open routes and overcome obstacles in a combat environment.
The main equipment includes a hydraulically powered universal excavator bucket and a multi-functional telescopic boom that can be used as a manipulator, gripper, straight or reverse blade bucket or scraper excavator. The demining system with electromagnetic extension allows the IMR-3M to autonomously traverse minefields and create safe passages for other vehicles.

The armored vehicle also has chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) reconnaissance equipment and can overcome water obstacles (such as rivers or canals) up to a depth of five meters without bridges or pontoons. The total weight of the vehicle is 50.8 tons, its maximum road speed is 50 km/h, and its range is approximately 500 km.
The drive is provided by a four-stroke, multi-fuel V-84MS diesel engine with an output of 840 horsepower. As a defensive weapon it is IMR-3M can be equipped with a 12.7 mm NSVT machine gun.

One of the prominent features of the system is the possibility of remote control. The vehicle can be controlled remotely via a portable console, or it can operate autonomously on a specific route based on a pre-programmed action algorithm, which increases the safety of personnel in high-risk situations.
