by Marcelo Moreira

The Fire Department reported this Sunday morning (18), that the search for the missing elderly woman, after being swept away by the rain last Friday (16), had been resumed. According to the corporation, three teams with 11 men were involved, on board and on land.

The teams operate along the banks of the Pinheiros River, with a starting point near the Laguna bridge. The teams have the support of boats, land vehicles and drones.

We remember that, last Saturday (17), the body of Marcos da Mata Ribeiro, aged 68, was found, who was with Maria Deusdete da Mata Ribeiro, aged 67, when they were both swept away by the flood. The storm that hit São Paulo caused rivers to overflow, floods and left people stranded in various parts of the city.
