Military personnel specialized in combat engineering from the 1st Polish Sapper Regiment recently participated in training that integrated ground robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles, as part of the modernization and operational adaptation efforts of the Polish Armed Forces.
The activity was publicized by General Command of the Armed Forces on its official page on platform
The published images show the use of a reconnaissance quadcopter, the heavy ground robotic system PIAP HUNTeR NRK and the PIAP MULES evacuation platform.

These means were used in simulated reconnaissance scenarios, supporting engineering operations and evacuation, reflecting contemporary demands on increasingly technological battlefields.
The Polish Army had already tested the PIAP HUNTeR in 2023, at the time in a configuration equipped with the REX ZMU-03 combat module armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun.
The system is a wheeled robotic combat vehicle, developed within the framework of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, which brings together institutions such as AREX, WB Group and the Institute of Industrial Automation and Measurement.

From a technical point of view, the vehicle is equipped with a 110 kW generator, responsible for powering engines and sensors.
Remote operation is made possible by a set of sensors and nine HD cameras, with GPS-assisted navigation.
In addition to conventional optical systems, the equipment has thermal sensors to increase situational awareness in different operational conditions.
