Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), authorized the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to extract and analyze all the material seized in another phase of the operation involving Banco Master, which took place this Wednesday (14), and which was initiated by the Federal Police.
The decision was taken after a statement by Paulo Gonet, Attorney General of the Republic. He requested that Toffoli reconsider the first determination, which had ordered that the seized goods and devices be sealed and kept in custody at the STF headquarters. This determination could impede cell phone expertise, for example.
When reversing the decision, the STF minister understood that the Public Ministry is responsible for presenting a possible complaint. According to the PF, 39 cell phones, 31 computers, 30 weapons, R$645,000 in cash and 23 vehicles valued at R$16 million were seized.
