Opposition senators filed a request for impeachment with the Federal Senate against the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Dias Toffoli, pointing out what they consider crimes of responsibility in the minister’s actions in the Banco Master case.
For Magno Malta (PL-ES), Damares Alves (Republicanos-DF) and Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE), there was a violation of the principles of morality and impersonality. Among the justifications in the complaint is the trip that the minister took with the lawyer of a director of Banco Master.
Furthermore, another justification used by parliamentarians would be that Toffoli withdrew the investigation from the first instance, determining secrecy, preventing data from being shared with the INSS CPMI, in addition to the order for there to be a confrontation between a director of the Central Bank and the former owner of Master, Daniel Vorcaro.
