US President Donald Trump accidentally disclosed private conversations about environmental corruption in a conversation with the president of Ford.

The case happened during a guided tour of the Ford Factorythe company’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan (USA), shortly before Trump gave a speech at the Detroit Economic Forum.

While touring the company, Trump spent the entire time talking to employees at the company. Ford. But at one point, he accidentally confided in a private conversation he had with Bill Fordpresident of Ford.

Trump began by stating how Bill Ford calls him all the time, asking: “Can we get rid of this environmental waste?”, to which Ford, who was also present on the tour, quickly responded: “Did you see a F-450 in Mar-a-Lago with your face on it!”

Trump then joked about Ford’s height being low enough that he couldn’t reach the truck bed. Trump then added, “I don’t know much about it,” to which Ford responded, “You know a lot.”

At the end of the video, Ford appeared saying he had something “special” planned for Trump. Although the two were talking about the subject in a relaxed atmosphere, social media users quickly became concerned about the content of the conversation.

“Trump once again admitting to corruption, but Congress will never investigate it,” said one commentator. “Another blatantly corrupt conversation, the president is too inept to keep secret,” pointed out another.

“Nothing says ‘working class hero’ like bragging about CEOs calling you to kill regulations that protect workers and communities,” a third netizen wrote.

Surprisingly, Bill Ford has a long history of championing environmental causes. The Trump administration, however, appears to have a different philosophy.

In addition to consistently undermining climate goals, the current administration has aggressively rolled back environmental protections and prioritized fossil fuel production and deregulation, which harms both public health and the climate.
