The Iranian regime scheduled for this Wednesday (14) the first execution of a protester who participated in the protests that began at the end of December in the Persian country.
According to information from Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, financed by the United States government, human rights groups, such as the Norwegian Iran Human Rights and Hengaw, cited sources who stated that Erfan Soltani, 26, accused of “waging war against God” due to his participation in the protests, will be executed tomorrow, six days after being arrested.
Iranian authorities have not officially commented on Soltani’s case, but Iranian state agencies have confirmed that several indictments for participation in the demonstrations have begun to be issued.
Large protests against Iran’s theocratic regime, amplified by the economic crisis in the Persian country, have been taking place since the last week of December.
The ayatollahs’ regime has responded violently: according to NGOs, more than 1,800 people have already been killed in the repression of demonstrations and more than 16,000 have been arrested.
