South Korea: prosecutor seeks death penalty for former president

The 65-year-old former president is being prosecuted by the South Korean Constitutional Court, and prosecutors accuse him of trying to carry out a coup d’état. Yoon rejects all accusations against him and said that martial law would have been necessary to prevent pro-North Korean agents from operating in the country. However, not enough evidence was found to support his thesis.
