A man who had his car broken into and his toll booth stolen was shocked to discover the thief had left his phone behind.
The owner of the broken-in car, who calls himself a “CEO from Maryland,” posted a video on his TikTok profile to explain what happened. Holding the thief’s phone, he directly confronted the criminal after discovering his identity.
“Okay, if it’s your name Billy Stricklandthanks for breaking into my car at Marley Station last night. You stole it E-ZPassbut you left your phone behind. Do you want it back or what?” he joked in the video.
Commenters poked fun at the tragic situation and suggested possible revenge ideas. “I would use your phone to call your mom,” wrote one TikTok user.
“No, and I repeat, do not use your phone to make threatening comments to the president,” joked another. “I hope you meant it E-ZPassas stolen to take a photo when it’s being used… just saying,” suggested a third user.
Meanwhile, other commenters suggested that the phone left behind probably wasn’t even the thief’s.
“I know you think you’ll get caught, but how do you know the thief didn’t steal Billy’s phone in the mall parking lot?” one commenter thought.
“Or Billy’s phone was stolen from another car and fell into yours. There’s never just one car break-in in one area,” another user analyzed.
