This Wednesday (07), Minister Alexandre de Moraes declared null the investigation by the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) whose objective was to analyze whether the medical care provided to former president Jair Bolsonaro was being adequate.
CFM requested the investigation request this Wednesday, through a note. In it, he mentions episodes of acute crises of different natures, trauma resulting from a fall, successive abdominal surgical interventions, in addition to intractable hiccups and other comorbidities associated with the condition of an elderly patient.
Furthermore, the agency highlighted that there is a need for full coverage in urgent and emergency situations, under the responsibility of the Brazilian State.
However, in his decision, Moraes stated that the CFM’s actions are illegal, as the council does not have “correctional jurisdiction” over the Federal Police. According to him, this would demonstrate a “misdirection of purpose” and “total ignorance of the facts”.
