The TCU (Federal Audit Court) will carry out an inspection at the Central Bank to investigate the extrajudicial liquidation process of Banco Master. The action was determined by the BC in November.
The work will be conducted by the technical area of the external control body, which, after reaching a conclusion, will send its position to the case’s rapporteur, minister Jhonatan de Jesus.
Unlike audits, inspections are not an autonomous inspection instrument. It is carried out in an ancillary manner, linked to another control action, such as an audit already in progress, and has a more restricted scope, limited to the specific points that are intended to be clarified.
