The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) stated that the green tariff flag will be applied in January.
The Agency explained that even with rainfall below the historical average for the period, rainfall volume and the level of the plants’ reservoirs were maintained. The reduction in bills began in December, with the change of the red tariff flag at level 1 to yellow.
This change reduces bills from R$4.46 per 100 kilowatt-hours to R$1.88.
