Federal Supreme Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes decided to maintain the preventive detention of Alan Diego dos Santos Rodrigues, convicted of an attempted attack by installing a bomb on the axle of a tanker truck parked near Brasília International Airport, on December 24, 2022.
The decision was handed down this Tuesday (30), within the scope of Petition 12445. According to Moraes, there is a real risk of criminal repetition if the defendant is released, which justifies maintaining the prison.
In the minister’s assessment, the fact that he fled Brasília shortly after the failed attack weighs against Alan Diego, remaining at large for months. The convict was only arrested in June this year, in the state of Mato Grosso, after being located by security forces.
