Wave of violence in Ecuador leaves nine dead in alleged organized crime attacks

The most violent crime occurred this Sunday morning, on Malecón Avenue, in front of Puerto López beach. Criminals aboard a pickup truck and motorcycles shot at people who were buying and selling fish in a popular tourist area. Six people died at the scene, including a two-year-old baby, and three others were injured.
