One of the helicopters caught fire, and the flames were controlled by police and firefighters. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the collision involved an Enstrom F-28A helicopter and an Enstrom 280C. Only the pilots were on board the two aircraft. One of them died at the scene, while the other was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and will investigate the causes of the accident.
