Jamie Lynn Spears’ Daughter Maddie Gets an ATV for Christmas Almost 9 Years After Near-Fatal Accident
Tis the season for getting back on the proverbial horse at Jamie Lynn Spears‘ house.
The Zoey 101 alum and husband Jamie Watson gifted daughter Maddie Watson her own ATV for Christmas, almost nine years after Maddie, then 8, spent two days in a coma following a scary accident involving a similar vehicle on her family’s Louisiana property.
Jamie Lynn’s carousel of holiday photos included a close-up of the now-17-year-old’s new ride decorated with a big red bow, as well as a shot of Maddie perched on the ATV with her 6-year-old sister Ivey Watson.
While her mom made a tradition of marking the “miracle anniversary” of Maddie walking out of the hospital alive and well, the high school senior only recently commented on her near-fatal crash.
“I did have an accident,” the self-described “injury prone” teen said in an Aug. 12 YouTube video. “I was in a coma and I came back to life, and I’m very blessed.”
A sentiment that certainly echoes how Jamie Lynn, who was 16 when she had Maddie with then-fiancé Casey Aldridgefeels about their family’s ordeal.
