The Republic of Belarus has received a new batch of Russian-made multirole fighter Su-30SM2. The information was released through the official Telegram channel of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.
The exact number of aircraft delivered was not disclosed. However, images posted on social media show at least two fighter jets, and these aircraft appear to still be at airports in Russia. It is believed that the aircraft in question were preliminary given red tail numbers “13” and “14.”
This delivery is the third batch of Su-30SM2 delivered to Belarus in 2025. The second batch, consisting of aircraft numbers “11” and “12,” arrived at Combat Air Base 61 in Baranovic in August. The first batches, “09” and “10,” were delivered to the same base in May of the same year.

Before the delivery of the upgraded Su-30SM2, Minsk had already acquired eight older Su-30SM fighters assembled at Russia’s Irkutsk aircraft factory.
This delivery is being carried out as part of the bilateral basic agreement signed in June 2017, which includes the delivery of a total of 12 fighter jets to Belarus. With the introduction of the third batch, Belarus is one step closer to completing the agreed schedule and significantly strengthening its combat aviation capabilities with an advanced generation of multi-role fighter aircraft.
