Former president Jair Bolsonaro will be hospitalized this Wednesday (24) to undergo surgery to treat a bilateral inguinal hernia this Thursday (25). For the first time, Bolsonaro will leave the headquarters of the Federal Police (PF) to be taken to the DF Star Hospital, where the procedure must be carried out.
The surgery was authorized by Minister Alexandre de Moraes this Tuesday (23) after a request from the former president’s defense. Despite this, some restrictions were imposed by Moraes. They are:
A 24-hour surveillance must take place, in which PF agents must be on standby outside the room where Bolsonaro will stay;
The entry of cell phones, tablets, computers and other electronic devices is prohibited;
Visits must take place with prior judicial authorization. The former president’s sons, Carlos and Flávio Bolsonaro, were not allowed to accompany their father. Only the former first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro, received permission to remain as a companion during the former president’s hospitalization.
