Donald Trump makes new threats to Gustavo Petro, president of Colombia

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, made new threats to the President of Colombia Gustavo Petro. The Colombian also became a rival of Trump and had already been criticizing the Republicans even before he came to power in the White House.

Petro implied in a speech last weekend that the United States invaded the states of Texas and California, stole the territory and wants to do the same with Venezuela. He alluded to the recent tension between Americans and Venezuelans.

The Colombian president also criticized the US for making demands that he does not seem correct, such as the return of assets allegedly stolen from Venezuela from American companies.

Trump claims that, in addition to the operations combating drug trafficking, it also takes place because of these assets that Venezuela allegedly stole from the Americans.

Due to Petro’s statements, the head of the White House responded that they are not friends and that the Colombian leader must be careful. Trump has already said at other times that Petro and Colombia could be the next targets of these attacks that are already taking place against Venezuela.
