Chamber may vote on PL Antifaction this Tuesday (18)

by Marcelo Moreira

The Anti-Faction Bill (PL) should be voted on this Tuesday (18) in the Chamber of Deputies, according to the President of the House, Hugo Motta. The text analyzed will be the fourth version of the opinion, presented by rapporteur Guilherme Derite (Republicanos-SP).

The text was forwarded by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to Congress at the end of October, days after the Comando Vermelho’s mega combat operation in Rio de Janeiro.

The following week, Motta appointed Derrite as rapporteur, who is a licensed Security Secretary in São Paulo.

The versions presented were marked by indentations. Among the changed points is an excerpt that included criminal factions in the Anti-Terrorism Law.
