Bangkok, Thailand – November 11, 2025 – Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, has announced the successful completion of refurbishment, modernization and delivery of a Bell 212 helicopter to the Royal Thai Navy (RTN).
The upgrade program was designed to extend the aircraft’s operational service life, including improvements to its fuel system, avionics and paint scheme, among other components. The entire process, from inspections to installations, was carried out by the team at Bell’s Asia Service Center located in Singapore.
According to Chris SchaeferBell’s Vice President of Global Customer Solutions, the Bell 212 remains essential to the Thai Navy. “The Bell 212 has been a cornerstone of the RTN fleet for decades, supporting various missions including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.

To celebrate the project’s completion, Bell also presented a personalized crystal plaque to the RTN and Royal Airport Service (RAS) during the Defense & Security 2025 exhibition in Bangkok.

About the Bell 212
Introduced in 1968, the Bell 212 continues to be employed in essential missions around the world, including aerial firefighting and public safety operations.
