Exclusive: George Clooney Admits He and Amal Clooney Don’t Always “Get It Right” As Parents
George Clooney is raising his descendants the best way he knows how.
The Oscar winner offered insight into how he and wife Amal Clooney juggle their busy careers with raising their 8-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.
“You try to pace it so that I’m doing it and then she’s home and then she goes and I’m home,” George told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie Jay Kelly Nov. 11. “We try to mix it up a little bit.”
But the 64-year-old pointed out that trying to strike the perfect balance between parenting and professional obligations is a fool’s errand.
“You’re never gonna get it all right—no one does,” he continued, “but you gotta go to work too, so you do the best you can.”
Having a supportive partner certainly helps, as Amal—who married the Ocean’s Eleven star in 2014—previously credited her husband for enabling her to continue her work as a human rights lawyer while raising young kids.
