A mysterious aircraft recorded at the Gaobeidian radar testing ground in China has sparked speculation after the release of a scientific study on an ejectable escape module for high superspeed flights.

Satellite images show an aerial vehicle with a shape similar to a dart and a fuselage integrated into the wings, seen for the first time in October 2023. The coincidence of characteristics led analysts to suggest a possible link between the prototype and the article, although there is still no official confirmation.

The study, published in 2020, details the development of an ejection cabin designed to protect crews during ejections at extreme altitudes and speeds, technology that has already had precedents, such as the US F-111 module.
