Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and federal deputy Coronel Chrisóstomo (PL-RO) were some of the opposition parliamentarians who criticized the meeting between President Lula and the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The meeting, held this Sunday (26) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, had as its main agenda the economic tariffs imposed on Brazil.
Eduardo Bolsonaro disapproved of the fact that Lula addressed the situation in Venezuela during the meeting with Trump, whom he called the main name in the world economy. “So, according to the MRE: They didn’t talk about Bolsonaro; Lula explained the injustice of sanctioning Moraes (without mentioning JB!); Trump liked Lula’s positioning himself as a mediator for the matter: narco-dictator Maduro. In the few minutes with the 01 of the world economy they dealt with… VENEZUELA”, commented.
Since August, the United States has carried out a military operation against drug trafficking cartels. According to the American government, the military presence of ships and submarines aims to contain drug trafficking from Venezuela, which dictator Nicolás Maduro is accused of leading a narco-terrorist faction.
Parliamentarians criticized coverage of meeting with Trump
Carlos Bolsonaro also spoke out, criticizing the press’ stance. “It must be the third meeting and the guys who attack Trump daily are pretending to be idiots to deceive other idiots. For the organization to stay as it is is positive…. The domination plan continues in full swing!” published on X.
By sharing a video in which Trump laments what former president Jair Bolsonaro has faced, Coronel Chrisóstomo attacked the militant press. “The press yesterday rushed to say that ‘Bolsonaro was a turning page for Trump’. The militant press is a cancer. Here, press, the turning page. Bolsonaro is the agenda for the meeting with Lula!”, protested.
