Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said this Thursday (23) that “Venezuela wants peace” and asked, in English, that there not be a “crazy war” in the region, in the face of US military actions.
The Venezuelan dictator took the stage and showed good humor even in the face of Donald Trump’s threats. After sitting down, Maduro referred to the attacks by the American Armed Forces in the region.
Washington forces have already launched nine bombers against vessels that were allegedly carrying drugs near the coasts of Venezuela and Colombia. Without mentioning Caracas, Trump said he would take ground action against cartels soon.
In his comments on the matter, Maduro guaranteed not to seek what he called a “crazy war” and repeated several times: “just peace forever”.
