The Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP) requested the preventive arrest of state deputy Lucas Bove (PL) for failing to comply with the protective measure granted to influencer Cíntia Chagas. The parliamentarian is accused of violating the court decision by making new references to the victim and the process on social media.
According to the prosecution, Bove had published content that directly mentioned the name of Cíntia Chagas and mentioned information about the case, which constitutes non-compliance with the court order. In view of this, the MP-SP also notified the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) to evaluate possible administrative measures, as the deputy has parliamentary immunity.
The complaint includes psychological violence, stalking, threats and bodily harm. The responsible prosecutor stated that Lucas Bove’s posts demonstrate “total disrespect” for court orders and reinforce the need for preventive detention to ensure compliance with protective measures.
After the repercussions, Lucas Bove stated that the arrest request was made because he answered “a question about public and already leaked facts”. The deputy also stated that the Women’s Police Station dismissed the accusations of physical violence, maintaining only the indictment for psychological violence.
