With the intention of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Easter is the main Christian festival, celebrated on the first full moon Sunday after the beginning of European spring, that is, between March 22nd and April 25th. Easter has been celebrated for 1,700 years, since the First Council of Nicaea, in 325, which set the date for the festival.
