What Happened at the End of Paradise Season 2? Finale Explained
Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) is facing a new mission at the end of season 2, but whether or not he’ll accept it is left up in the air. Moreover, “Alex” is revealed to have been a supercomputer that Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson) had been hiding, and it’s more advanced than any past AI in history — so much so that it could be capable of time travel. Link (Thomas Doherty) created it and is now trying to shut it down out of fear that it has taken a mind of its own, posing a new threat to humanity.
Is There a Season 3 of Paradise?
Yes! Paradise was renewed for a third season. Creator Dan Fogelman originally pitched the show as a three-season storyline, so season 3 was a given. During a past interview with The Hollywood Reporter discussing season 3, executive producer John Hoberg said the team already knows “what the end is, and it’s an end that would make it very difficult to make a season 4 come afterward.”
“In season 3, which we’re already breaking — we’re breaking episode seven right now, and we know where it ends [with eight]; we know what episode eight is,” John explained. “Everybody gets their due. I will say that. But there’s only so much real estate and the story really dictates. I personally want to know more about Robinson’s [Krys Marshall] backstory, and we’ll get that, along with other characters. Everyone will have a moment, but it’s when they come to significance in the grander story when we made those decisions.”
When Does Season 3 of Paradise Come Out?
At the time of publication, Hulu has not announced a scheduled release date for season 3 of Paradise yet. If production follows a similar filming schedule as before, fans can likely see the third and final season premiere sometime in early 2027.
