Vorcaro’s ‘Sicário’ dies after attempting suicide inside the Federal Police Superintendence

by Marcelo Moreira

As stated by the Federal Police, Luiz Phillipi Machado de Moraes Mourão, one of those arrested in Operation Compliance Zero for links with Daniel Vorcaro, died on Wednesday night (4). Known as “Sicário”, he attempted to kill himself while he was in the custody of the institution at the Regional Superintendency of the Federal Police in Minas Gerais.

He was rescued by the police and needed to be resuscitated, but he did not resist. Sources from the Federal Police claimed to columnist Mônica Bérgamo, from BandNews Fm, that the reason found was brain death.

“Mourão”, as he was also known, handed himself in to the Police this morning, after having an arrest warrant opened against him and Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, as well as the banker’s brother-in-law and a president of the Central Bank.

The request, authorized by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court, André Mendonça, was issued after the Federal Police found messages in a WhatsApp group saying that Vorcaro would like to stage a robbery to attack O Globo columnist, Lauro Jardim. “I want to have him beaten up. Break all his teeth in a robbery”, wrote the banker.
