US says it has destroyed much of Iran’s military capabilities

The head of the United States Central Command (Centcom), Admiral Brad Cooper, updated this Wednesday (25) the balance of the American military offensive against Iran and stated that the attacks carried out since the beginning of the war have significantly reduced the military capacity of the Iranian regime, including the production of weapons, the naval fleet and the use of missiles and drones.

According to Cooper, American forces have already struck more than 10,000 targets on Iranian territory since the beginning of the conflict. According to the commander, part of these operations resulted in the destruction of around two-thirds of the country’s military production facilities, including missile factories, drones, shipyards and other structures linked to the defense industry.

The commander also stated that the military campaign significantly compromised Iran’s naval strength. According to Cooper, around 92% of Iran’s largest Navy vessels were destroyed or damaged in this war, which would have reduced the country’s ability to project military power in the region and threaten international maritime routes.

According to Cooper, another effect observed after the operations was the drop in the number of attacks carried out by Iran. According to the Centcom commander, the rate of Iranian missile and drone launches has fallen by around 90% since the beginning of the war, which, in the American assessment, indicates a loss of operational capacity.

The military chief further stated that the bombings not only damaged the existing arsenal, but also affected the regime’s replenishment capacity. According to him, more than two-thirds of the facilities responsible for weapons production were destroyed, which would have reduced the possibility of rebuilding the military structure in the short term.
