The United States says it has destroyed several mobile Iranian missile launchers camouflaged as trucks in an effort to hinder their identification on the battlefield.
A video released by it U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) shows the moment when these platforms are detected and hit by precision weapons.
According to the US military, Iran used this method to conceal the launchers while carrying out attacks on countries in the region. Despite the attempt at camouflage, surveillance and monitoring systems were able to track the vehicles and direct strikes that neutralized the threats.
The operations are part of a broader campaign to reduce Iran’s ability to launch missiles and drones. According to Washington, the offensive has gradually expanded into deeper parts of Iranian airspace, while Israeli Air Force aircraft are also participating in the destruction of ballistic missile launchers.
US authorities say the strikes reduced drone launches by 73% and ballistic missile firings by 86% by Iran in just four days of operations. At the start of the clashes, on February 28, around 350 rockets were fired at Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar – a number that gradually decreased in the following days after attacks on the launch pads.
