The United States Southern Command announced this Wednesday (25) a new lethal attack against a vessel in the Caribbean Sea that, according to the American military, left four narco-terrorists dead during an operation against drug trafficking in international waters in the region.
According to a statement published on the X network, the target was a vessel that was traveling along known drug trafficking routes and that was operating in the service of criminal organizations classified by the United States as terrorist. The Southern Command also reported that no member of the American forces was injured during the operation.
The result of the action was announced together with a video published on the account command officer, showing the moment the vessel is hit. According to the Southern Command, this Wednesday’s action is part of the so-called Operation Southern Spear (Lança do Sul), a military campaign launched at the end of last year to combat drug trafficking, transnational criminal organizations and groups that Washington began to classify as terrorists in Latin America and the Caribbean.
According to information released by military reports, the US has carried out more than 40 attacks against speedboats linked to drug trafficking since September 2025, when the operation was launched, with more than 150 people killed in the actions. American authorities claim that the targets of the ongoing operation are members of criminal organizations operating on international routes.
