Latvia’s Brasa Defense Systems has unveiled a new unmanned ground vehicle designed to support battlefield logistics operations.

The platform, named UNHUMAN, was demonstrated during the 2026 Griffin Tech Days exercise conducted by Finnish special forces in an extreme Arctic environment. The temperature dropped to -27°C.

This vehicle is designed to transport supplies, equipment or casualties in hard-to-reach areas. The goal is to reduce soldiers’ exposure to risk by replacing some forward logistics tasks.

The system itself weighs approximately 110 kg and can carry a payload of up to 200 kg, exceeding its own weight. Powered by a 3.5 kW electrical system, it can operate for up to 10 hours and can reach a speed of approximately 13 km/h, enough to keep up with troops on foot. The platform can also be equipped with sensors, communication systems, and remote-controlled 7.62mm weapon stations.

According to the company, development of UNHUMAN took more than six years and involved extensive testing in a variety of environments, including forests, sand, and steep terrain. The project is designed with mass production and simplified maintenance in mind, and reflects the growing military need for robotic vehicles that can perform logistics missions and reduce risk to troops in modern warfare.
