The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court, Dias Toffoli, denied to his assistants any intention of resigning from his position at this time. The investigation was carried out by reporter Pedro Teixeira, from Grupo Bandeirantes.
Toffoli also repeated that he did not commit any irregularities and that he should not give in to possible requests for removal. The magistrate has been under pressure due to suspicions of a connection between the minister and his family with Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master.
Reports revealed that the minister is one of the partners of the Tayayá resort, in Paraná, a project acquired by an investment fund linked to Master. Furthermore, the Federal Police identified mentions of the minister on the banker’s cell phone.
On Wednesday (11), Toffoli announced that he will not judge Vorcaro’s arrest as he considers himself a suspect, for intimate reasons.
