The longer the war drags on, the greater the risk of terrorism and actions by Iran’s allies around the world, says former deputy secretary of state in the Trump administration

“Trump, not only through his experience as president, but also as an American citizen, has witnessed the wars that my colleagues and I fought in, wars that required persistent and long-lasting ground troops. And that is something that I know, based on my experience as Assistant Secretary of State, that he does not want to repeat,” he told BBC News Brasil.
