This Tuesday morning (3), the Rio de Janeiro Police carried out an operation to capture the head of drug trafficking in the Andaraí community.
Armored vehicles are being used in this action which, so far, has not resulted in arrests. Intense shootings were recorded in the region.
The main target of this action is Rodrigo Rosa Brasil, known as “Boneco do Andaraí”. According to police information, he had recently taken charge of local drug trafficking after a decision from one of the leaders of Comando Vermelho.
He has been considered a fugitive from the penitentiary system since March 2019, when he did not return after a temporary departure to periodically visit his home.
