Petrobras announced this Friday (13) an increase of R$0.38 in the price of a liter of diesel for distributors. The new value will come into force from this Saturday (13).
With the update, the average price of diesel sold by the state-owned company will be R$3.65 per liter. At gas stations, the price of diesel B, mixed with biodiesel, will be, on average, R$ 3.10. The announcement, which refers only to diesel oil and not to the prices of gasoline or ethanol, comes at a time of struggle over fuel prices.
Petrobras’ decision was announced after the Federal Government released two measures that aimed to reduce the price of diesel by R$0.64 at refineries, including the exemption from federal PIS/Cofins taxes.
