Film’s biggest night has come and gone, but fashion never dies.
And indeed, once the Oscars were handed out at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 15, the party didn’t stop. After all, there was much to celebrate.
At the close of the evening—which was helmed by repeat-host Conan O’Brien—the biggest winner in film proved to be One Battle After Anotherwhich walked away with the Best Picture award in addition to five other wins.
Meanwhile, Jessie Buckley was awarded Lead Actress for her work in Hamnetwhile Michael B. Jordan was awarded for his work in Sinners. While the wins marks each actor’s first Oscar, the timing was especially poignant for Jessie, as it occurred on Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom.
“I feel like what a gift to get to explore motherhood through this incredible mother this is and was,” she said in her speech, “and then to become one myself, and then to receive this recognition of the incredible role mothers play in our world on this day is something I will never, ever forget.”
