This Thursday (5), the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and rapporteur of the Banco Master case, André Mendonça, ordered the transfer of Daniel Vorcaro, owner of the financial institution, to a prison in Brasília. He was arrested last Wednesday (4).
The Federal Police justified the transfer of Daniel Vorcaro based on the protection of his physical integrity, citing the legislation that allows this measure. According to the PF, the decision applies to prisoners, both convicted and provisional, who need to be transferred to maximum security federal penal establishments, when there is a risk to public safety or to the detainee himself.
Previously, Vorcaro had been transferred, the day after his stipulated arrest, to the Provisional Detention Center in Greater São Paulo to what is being called the “new prison for the famous”, located in the interior of the state.
Vorcaro had messages released by the Federal Police about financial transactions, contacts with politicians and magistrates this Thursday.
