The defense of Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, son of President Lula, admitted to the Federal Supreme Court for the first time that he traveled to Portugal with the expenses paid by businessman Antônio Camilo Antunes. Nicknamed “Careca do INSS”, Antunes is arrested on suspicion of leading a scheme to embezzle pensioners.
Even with the admission, the petition filed with Minister André Mendonça’s office reports that Fábio Luís did not enter into any business with the businessman, did not receive payments and was unaware of the alleged fraud involving INSS benefits. The demonstration reached the STF after the disclosure of the breach of Antônio Camilo’s banking secrecy.
Lulinha’s defense, however, states that the businessman did not participate in the fraud, was not aware of the irregularities and did not receive money diverted from retirement and pensions from the National Social Security Institute (INSS).
These deviations are investigated by the Federal Police, which launched Operation Without Discount in April 2025, and by the CPMI of the INSS, in Congress.
