A salesperson posted a video on his TikTok profile to celebrate a connection made with two potential customers who only came to the dealership to take a test drive and research models to purchase.
In the clip, Alex he said he welcomed a couple into the store and ended up forming a genuine connection with them. “Yesterday a couple came in and the first thing they said to me was, ‘We’re not buying today. We’re just researching,'” he began.
While most salespeople would make light of the situation since there would be no sales involved, Aleks thought differently. “So we took a test drive and tested the newest model. Instead of talking about payments, price or anything like that, we started talking about life.”
During the test drive, Aleks learned that her husband owns a pre-workout company. “You guys know me, I like working out. So we start talking about the gym. Then we pull up and they decide they want to test out another vehicle,” he continued.
Aleks then took them on their second test drive in a Murano. “The next thing you know, we’re talking about the gym, life, and everything but [dos] cars. As soon as we get back to the dealership, he opens the door and just leaves the car. Next thing you know, he has a box of his pre-workout.”

The man not only wanted to give Aleks the pre-workout box, but wanted to know his opinion on the product. “They told me they weren’t buying today, but we still built a strong connection to where he trusted me with his product.”
“It’s not about the sale, but about creating that relationship with your customer. What’s more important? The price of the vehicle or working with someone you trust?”, concluded Aleks at the end of the video.
