According to the authority interviewed by the “Times of Israel”, Tangsiri was responsible for closing the Strait of Hormuz, an important strait through which around 20% of the world’s oil passes and which has been blocked for almost a month. Tangsiri was killed in an attack in Bandar Abbas, in southern Iran, according to the newspaper.
