Iran has released previously unseen images of an underground facility housing advanced air defense systems, including the Khordad-15, amid claims that the equipment would be used against a US F-35 fighter.

The material was published by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and shows a fortified structure equipped with missile launchers and stockpiles.

The images also reveal the presence of large quantities of interceptor missile containers, indicating a significant level of operational readiness. Among the systems shown is the Khordad-15, developed locally and officially unveiled in 2019 during the tenure of then Defense Minister Amir Hatami.

According to Iranian authorities, the system uses Sayyad-3 missiles and is capable of tracking multiple targets simultaneously. Its capability includes detection of up to six simultaneous threats, increasing effectiveness in complex air combat scenarios.

The Khordad-15 is designed to engage aircraft and drones at ranges of up to 150 kilometers and, according to Iran, can detect stealth aircraft up to 85 kilometers. The IRGC claims that this system was recently used in an operation against an F-35 fighter, although there is no independent confirmation of this claim.
