Iran confirmed this Wednesday (18) the death of Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib, following an Israeli attack in Tehran. Khatib was an important figure in the Persian country. He was one of those responsible for repressing protesters in the protests that took place in January, and also carried out coordinated actions with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Earlier, Iran’s new supreme leader, Motjaba Khamenei, spoke on social media and promised revenge for the recent deaths in the country’s leadership: “I give everyone the certainty that we will not renounce revenge for the blood of its martyrs. The revenge we have in mind is not limited to the martyrdom of the great Leader of the Revolution. Each member of the nation who is martyred by the enemy becomes, in itself, an independent case in the revenge dossier.”
