After the statements, Trump stated that Washington is negotiating with a “more reasonable regime”, in reference to new Iranian leaders, and reinforced the warning about the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the US could attack power plants, oil fields and the island of Kharg — the main Iranian export point — if there is no agreement.
