Ten of them, as a US official told the AFP news agency, remained in serious condition. “Since the start of Operation Epic Fury, approximately 303 U.S. service members have been injured. The vast majority of injuries have been minor and 273 service members have returned to duty,” said U.S. Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins. According to the most recent data, another 13 American soldiers died in the war, seven of them in the Gulf and six in Iraq. On the Iranian side, around 1,167 soldiers died, a US-based activist group that monitors war casualties said on March 23. According to the group, the whereabouts of another 658 Iranian soldiers were unknown. The Iranian government has not released an updated death toll.
