It is followed by: “No, because I know who protects us.” The trend gained momentum after Iran launched missile and drone attacks in the region in response to attacks by the US and Israel, DW highlighted. Most of the projectiles were intercepted, but debris ended up causing fires and damage to luxury hotels. Four people were also injured at Dubai International Airport. The videos link the protection to Mohamed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, emir of Dubai and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, and his son Hamdan bin Mohammed Al-Maktoum, the country’s defense minister. Influencers in Dubai also need to avoid any posts that could harm public order, religion, morals or the reputation of the State. The UAE Attorney General’s Office reinforced that it is prohibited to publish unverified content online. Any information must only come from official channels. Some influencers continued posting their ostentatious content and insisted that everything remains safe and normal. “Everything is very calm. The same as always. Today was very peaceful. There was an explosion in the morning. Other than that, total silence,” German influencer Fabio Menner said in a video. German actress Nathalie Bleicher-Woth posted in her stories: “I don’t know what I can or can’t say. That’s why I deleted the other things.” Influencer Zara Secret said: “We can’t post anything. I had to delete everything.” Others posted videos taking shelter in basements or reacting to missiles in real time. “Man, the window almost flew out. Yeah, a rocket crashed somewhere around here,” posted Julian Zietlow, a German influencer.
