Honda announced the official cancellation of three electric cars it planned to produce in the United States, citing American tariffs and unstable policies regarding fossil fuel regulations and electric vehicle incentives as the main reasons.

The three cars are SUV Series 0, Saloon Series 0And Acura RSXwhich was previously scheduled to launch in 2026. As a result of this decision, Honda admitted in a press statement that it expects to suffer major financial losses as a result of canceling production of the three vehicles.

In addition to American tariffs and unstable policies, Honda also highlights changing consumer preferences in China, where buyers are now focusing more on software features and paying less attention to aspects such as fuel efficiency and cabin space.

In their statement, the Japanese manufacturer admitted that they had not succeeded in presenting a product that offered better value than the new manufacturer from China.
