The air strike that targeted Larijani was confirmed to the newspaper by Israeli authorities whose identities were not revealed. It is not yet known whether Larijani was actually shot, nor whether he was injured or killed, until the last update of this report. Neither Israel nor Iran have publicly confirmed the bombing that allegedly targeted Larijani so far. However, the chief of staff of the Israeli Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, spoke of “significant achievements” in night bombing that have the potential to influence the course of the war. “The Israel Defense Forces [modo como Israel chama seu Exército] continue to act with determination against multiple targets in Iran. Significant preventive achievements were recorded overnight, with the potential to influence operational results and IDF missions,” Zamir said in a statement this Tuesday morning.
