Kim Raver and Kevin McKidd’s costars don’t quite know how to say goodbye.
After the longtime Grey’s Anatomy stars, who play Dr. Teddy Altman and Dr. Owen Hunt, respectively, confirmed they would jointly exit the series after season 22, several of their fellow cast members shared kind words on social media.
Under Kevin’s heartfelt March 26 Instagram goodbye to his character after 18 seasons, his longtime costar Chris Carmackwho joined the series in 2018 as Dr. Atticus “Link” Lincoln, wrote in a comment, “Kev, you’re a gem!”
Meanwhile, Camilla Luddingtonwho has played Dr. Jo Wilson since season nine, added, “Absolute legend.”
The 52-year-old’s impact was felt behind the screen, too. After all, Kevin stepped in to direct nearly 50 episodes of the series. Zaiver Sinnettwho worked in production on the series as well as a three-season arc as Dr. Zander Perez, added, “Love you, Kevin!”
Grey’s Anatomy set decorator Nicole Cramer also chimed in, noting Kevin had been a pleasure to work with, and that she looks forward to seeing what he does next.
